My sister Samantha and I gave our sister Elizabeth a baby shower since she was having her first boy. We did a monkey theme. It was fun, instead of having your normal baby shower food we had banana splits. For the favors we put little banana runts in a bag. We wanted yellow but all we could find were green so we settled for those. If anyone is looking for baby shower ideas, the banana splits were a hit. I hope everyone had a fun time and she got lots of fun stuff for her little boy (Michael Jacob Pratt). Congrats Elizabeth!

We are having...
Well yesterday was the day we got to see our little baby and find out whether we could call the baby he or she. Before we went into the doctor's office I told Savannah that we were going to find out if the baby was a boy or girl and she said "I want to get the baby out.... I want to catch it". I don't know where she came up with catching it. I don't even watch those birth stories on TLC. But anyways we had the ultra sound and when the doctor said it was a BOY, Savannah shook her head no really big. She keeps telling us it is not a boy it is a girl. I know when we finally have the baby it won't matter to her if it is a boy or girl but we are thrilled to be having a baby boy and that he is healthy. He was being really cute during the ultra sound; we got to see him yawn a few times. It is also a plus that I a measuring for my due date to be October 4th instead of October 9th. Or maybe I am just having a big baby. I am really sad because I have my ultra sound on a DVD but cannot get it to download on the computer so pictures will have to do for now.

Fun Ideas
Awhile back I surfed the web looking for fun ideas to do with kids and also some new craft projects. I have not had much time to do any of it but I am trying really hard to get some of my "to do" list done. Here are a couple of the ideas I liked.
This was a cheap clock from Wal-Mart that I took apart and added different paper and cut out the vinyl numbers and words. Final Cost was less than $5. You can do it for less if you use paper you already have but I was doing this for my sister's baby boy room and wanted it to match her color theme. It was extremely simple (minus the three year old trying to help me)
This is a fun way to entertain your kids while they eat their lunch. You make a sandwich and use a cookie cutter to cut out the shape. I always do this but I never saved the scraps around the edges (I would eat them) but it makes for a fun puzzle for them to try to figure out.

Before I was a Mom
Before I was a Mom -
I slept as late as I wanted and never worried about how late I got into bed. I brushed my hair and my teeth everyday.
Before I was a Mom -
I cleaned my house each day. I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom -
I had never been puked on - Pooped on - Spit on - Chewed on, or Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and My thoughts. I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom -
I never held down a screaming child so that doctors could do tests...or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom -
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put it down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom -
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important.
Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known The warmth, The joy, The love, The heartache, The wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom.

Thank you Mom for all that you went through to raise me. I am grateful to have such a wonderful mother. Thanks for all the help you have been since I have had Savannah. You are always unselfish and always think of your kids first. I love you and hope you have a beautiful day!

Agent Oso
This morning Savannah was watching Agent Oso and it was about going to the Library and checking out a book about dinosaurs. When Agent Oso was going down the road trying to find the library he would ask if each building was it and if it was quiet. Savannah asked me if we could go to the library and get a book on dinosaurs like Agent Oso. So we got ready and went to the library. I opened her door and before she would get out she asked me "is it quiet". I of course answered yes simply because I thought it was except for an air compressor type noise in the background. Savannah said no it is not quiet so we decided it was the fire station right next door (which is funny because in the show the library was right next to the fire station). We went in and found a few books on dinosaurs and checked them out. It was really funny what she learned from the show today I didn't have to tell her to be quiet in the library like I usually do. We had a good trip to the library and hey it didn't cost anything!

Savannah's Testimony
Today was Fast Sunday and when members of the ward started getting up to bear their testimony, Savannah told us that she wanted to go up there. So of course I was too shy to take her up so her Daddy took her up there but when they went up and she saw the entire congregation she put her head into her Daddy's shoulder. So Jeremy bore his testimony and they returned back to where we were sitting. I told her I was very proud of her because it takes a lot of courage just to get up there. I don't have to hear Savannah bear her testimony because I see and hear it every day. From a very young age she knew what a temple was whether she saw it in a picture or in real life. And she could look at a black and white picture of Jesus Christ and know it was him. She always wants to go to the temples and hates that she can't get inside to see Jesus. I told her one time that the temple was Jesus' home and so now she always wants to get in. Savannah loves her family and is lucky to have so many family members live close around her. She is such a sweet spirit and I know she was sent to us from our Heavenly Father. I am so proud of this little girl!
