Dr. Seuss Baby Shower

I did this baby shower for a girl at work that was expecting a baby boy.  It was very last minute and low budget plus I only spent a couple of hours on it, so it is not anything spectacular but it turned out somewhat cute for what little time I had.

Here comes Peter Cottontail Hoppin' down the bunny trail...

Whew... I thought I lost all of my Easter pics. It was Breckin's first Easter so I was pretty sad that I thought I had lost them but I finally found them in a random file.
We didn't do any big get together with family this year like normal mostly because every year the weather is not good and everyone already had plans. Saturday morning we went to breakfast with Samantha and family and Mom and Dad. Sunday we got up went to church and then came home and the Easter Bunny had already stopped at our house.  Savannah and Breckin checked out everything in their baskets. Breckin really enjoyed his new little gadgets and Savannah was so happy that she finally got one of those annoying singing toys.  We dyed Easter eggs and Mom and Dad came over for Easter dinner and we hid the eggs for Savannah. She had fun even if it was just her hunting for eggs.  Since Jeremy and I are so worn out lately it was nice not having a huge party this year. Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Savannah got this candy necklace
for her birthday from church.

I had a wonderful birthday this year. We went to breakfast with my mom. Then Jeremy and I went to the movies and had dinner at Outback.  We also went for fun and looked at four wheelers and side by side's. We then picked up the kids and went to the store where Savannah picked me out a birthday cake.  I was lucky enough to have an awesome Hannah Montana cake for my birthday:) We had cake and ice cream and just hung out as a family. It was a great day, I also am thankful for all the birthday wishes from everyone. Thanks for a wonderful birthday!

Let's get together.... we can have lots of fun.

We had our family reunion for the Hansen's at Zion Ponderosa. We got ten of the twelve brothers and sisters there and also Uncle Pat and Aunt Diane (Jeremy's dads brother) whom I have never met and it has been about twenty years since Jeremy has seen them. They brought their grandkids (Harrison - 5 yrs and Avery - 2 yrs) Savannah got along great with Harrison and they hung out the whole time. He is her third cousin so that was kinda neat that she got to meet him. She also got to meet her three month old second cousin, LP. We did lots of fun things while we were there, the zip line, rock wall, four wheeling, watched a family slide show, played pool and ping pong, went to Zion's National Park and had lots of fun. Here are a few pics of our camping trip.

Savannah is now four years old! I can not believe it, she is turning into a little lady. She is so fun to have around, we are never lacking any drama or attitude in our house.  Sometime shortly after her third birthday party she asked for a unicorn party as her next years theme. I like to throw whatever party she wants and I let her choose what she wants but I have to admit I kept asking her for the last year what kind of party she wanted to have, hoping that she would eventually change her mind.  Well as you can see that never happened so I did my best finding ideas and decorations for this unicorn themed party.  I had a tight budget for this party and I am glad to say that this was the most inexpensive party I have ever done. (Partly because I couldn't find anything for unicorn parties).
We started out the party by coloring their bags that would later hold their goodies.  I had printed out unicorns to color and tape on the bag.  We then made "magic dough".  I had bought a pack of the mini size play dough container's and we had each girl choose a color of glitter dust and sprinkle in the play dough.  By that time I had finished cooking the food. We had individual heart shaped pizzas (made out of Rhodes rolls), "unicorn food" (apple slices, celery and carrots) and two different types of "unicorn horns" (refrigerated bread sticks twisted and bugle chips).
Then it was time for games.  I had printed out different pictures of unicorns and birthday cakes and made a matching game on the wall. Each time the girls made a match they could to choose a prize. (When the game was over I made sure each girls had the same amount of prizes so they didn't feel left out.) Then we played "pin the horn on the unicorn". I had a unicorn book I was going to read to the girls but ran out of time.  We opened presents and I had each girl sit beside Savannah while she opened the gift they brought so she could thank them and I took a picture of each of them with Savannah to use for thank you cards.
We sang to her and had birthday cake. She wanted a unicorn cookie cake and I couldn't find anywhere near us that had cookie cakes. I finally found one at Sam's club and the cookie cake was really good. I don't want to know how fattening it is since I ate most of the left over cake.  I found pink and purple swirl pops at birthday express and used those as party favors.  They were supposed to have cute printouts that said "thank you for coming to my party" on them but I ran out of time.  I also had a slide show of Savannah playing in the living room for the adults to watch while the party was going on.
Savannah really enjoyed it, she had so much fun with her friends and loved all the gifts she got. Thank you everyone for taking time out of your day and coming to her 4th birthday.
Love you Savannah, you will always be our little girl!

This is the thank you cards, just with a different girl each time.
