This last week my sister Elizabeth was in town. We took the girls to feed the ducks at the duck pond. Savannah loved it but she would scare me because she wanted to go right up to the ducks and I was not sure what they would do. Makayla was enjoying watching them but was not into feeding them. She ate the bread she was supposed to give to the ducks. Ava loved it but she wanted to get right up to the water for some close action. We tried to get some picture of them but of course they did not want anything to do with it. I miss the days when I could just sit Savannah down and she would willingly smile for the camera. I can not ever get her to look at the camera these days unless I take her to get them professionally done then she loves to work the camera.

Our Little Princess Turns Two!

Savannah is now two years old. We can not believe how fast this last year went. She is such a fun little girl. She is very into girly things like dresses, baby dolls, princess stuff and shoes. But she also loves to get dirty, balls, the outdoors, fixing things and wrestling. She is a well rounded little girl. After Christmas I started thinking about what kind of party to do for Savannah and I had a few that I thought she would have fun with. Her daddy decided that a princess party would be best since she is his little princess. Good call, Jeremy. That same week we decided what kind of party she started to be obsessed with Cinderella. Since then she has learned to love Belle, Sleeping Beauty and Ariel. But I still think her favorite is Cinderella. With everyone's help last weekend I was able to throw her a beautiful princess party. The morning of the party she woke up and came downstairs, she saw all the decorations. I heard her say to Ava, my mom is building a princess castle! She was so excited. We played put Cinderella in her castle (pin the tail on the donkey), pass Cinderella's glass slipper (a version of musical chairs) and we had a pinata. I hope that Savannah loved it and I look forward to next years party.
P.S. Thanks everyone for all your help, especially Jeremy for your babysitting services :)

The past few months...

It has been a long time since I have posted anything. But I figured it is okay since no one really reads my blogs. I am doing this more for myself so I can keep up with what we have done throughout the year.
Well to start with Valentine's and St. Patrick's day. For Valentines Jeremy got me a spa gift card. I get a hour massage, pedicure, manicure and a facial. I have not had the chance to go and do that yet but I look forward to it in the future. I love massages! I decorated Jeremy's office and brought him his favorite food for lunch. Which is a Fudruckers hamburgers. I also got him a new ipod since we some how lost his last one with the move. It is tradition that Savannah and I go and get our picture done on Valentines for Jeremy to put in his office. Well it is a new tradition since she is only two years old, but we have been doing it since she was born. Savannah got a little heart with candy and some Valentines books and coloring books. She missed her Valentines party at school and so they made her a bag. When she got it she was so excited to go through it. She did not really care for the cards but loved the candy! For Saint Patrick's Day Savannah and I wore our green shirts. Since Jeremy couldn't wear a green shirt to work I made him a cheesy shamrock to wear on his suit.
Since around Christmas time Savannah has really got into princesses. So we started planning her a princess birthday. It is coming up this week and I am so excited for her to see everything she will love it!

In March we went to Disney on Ice and Savannah absolutly loved it! She kept reaching out her arms wanting to hold Minnie Mouse. She kept putting her hands over her mouth in shock. It was great to see her have that much fun.

Last weekend was Easter and the weather was not the best. It was rainy and cold. Savannah was not feeling very good so she was not into it much. She did enjoy opening all the eggs and finding out that each one had candy in it. She had way too much candy last weekend.
I need to get better at this whole blog thing, hopefully it is not to boring.

Sledding

This is our day of sledding. It was a blast! Savannah and Ava loved it. Isabella went down by herself when Madison "accidently" pushed her down the hill. Samantha went for the first time and even did it for a second time. We even got my dad to do it at his old age! It was alot of fun.

The holidays are almost over and now it is time to clean up and put away decorations. We were so busy this last month, actually since Halloween it has been crazy at the Hansen house. Our family came to our house this year and with that came a surprise that everyone knew about except Elizabeth and I. On Christmas Day we finally found out what it was. We were told to go outside and when we did we found our cousin Tiffany from Louisiana. We were quite surprised! Tiffany was so excited about all the snow she was wishing for a blizzard so she could not fly home. Jeremy and his brother Matt had plans to go skiing the day after Christmas. When Tiffany found out she wanted to try it. I figured if she could do it then I could do it also. Since she has never seen snow. I had at least seen it so I figured maybe I had an advantage. So we leave that morning to rent our stuff and I was actually pretty scared. But I was going to do it. We get to the resort and I could not even walk in the ski's to get into line. I get on the lift which was not bad, but I was trying to figure out what I was going to do when I got off. I had no idea what to expect. I did not know if I was going to have to jump down 20 feet or if it was going to push me right off the mountain. Anyways, I get off the lift (which was not bad) except Tiffany had fallen and so I fell over her. We start going down the mountain and I can not even tell you how many times I fell. I never thought the hardest thing about skiing would be getting back up. We finally make it to one of the last hills and it was a big one! Tiffany said I am just going for it. We turn around to watch her "just go for it" and we see her tumbling down the hill! It was the funniest thing I ever saw. So we get back on the lift for our second time and we are doing good I think I only fell three times but on our last hill Tiffany fell, Jeremy helped her up and she fell again but when she landed she twisted her knee or something. We had to get the ski patrol to come and get her and she was down for the rest of the trip! But it was a fun ski trip! I would do it again. The next day I could hardly move I was so sore. We went sledding with some of the family, it was a blast! Savannah loved it! She kept saying she wanted to go down. She loves any kind of thrill.
