Tis the Season to be Jolly!

This month has been so busy with all the fun things to do during the holiday season; parties, baking, decorating, shopping, and of course reading all the wonderful Christmas stories and remembering what Christmas is really about!  We are having so much fun with Savannah.  She is old enough to know what is going on and she is so in love with anything to do with Christmas.  It could be something as small as wearing her red dress or as big as going to see Santa Claus.  She talked about seeing Santa Claus forever and when we took her she wouldn't say a word to him.  As soon as we left she didn't stop talking about him.

She got to go sledding this month thanks to her "Dinana" and Josh.  She is so adventurous!  She loves to do anything that might me dangerous!  But she will make sure to tell you before you do it to "be very careful, very, very careful".  When she went sledding, Josh fell off the sled and she loved telling everyone about that.  She would laugh so hard when telling you the story.

She is quite the Christmas singer.  She surprises us every day with how many songs she knows.  And I must say she has the most beautiful voice.  It just melts your heart.  We love to hear her sing!

We are trying to teach her early that it is better to give than to receive so every toy she sees, she will say "this is for my friend, huh?"  She is always talking about how she loves her family and friends.  It is amazing how much a two and a half year old knows!

Savannah made her first gingerbread house.  It was the most perfect little house!  She loved making sugar cookies with Momma and loved eating them with Daddy.  While we were making them she would tell me, "Mom I need to leave, I just need to leave" and then would come back in the room "Mom, I'm back".  She kept stealing little pieces of the cookie dough and going in another room to eat it.  You gotta love her!

She really loves all the Christmas lights up everywhere.  She gets so excited when she sees them! Thanks to all those who decorated their homes.  She always wants our Christmas tree lights on and I am always finding her finishing touches to the tree.  Whether it is her Barbie stuck in the branches or her bracelets hanging from the tree limb.

We hope that we can continue to carry on the Christmas spirit through this whole year and to always look for opportunities to help those around us.  We appreciate all of our family and friends and hope that everyone has a wonderful holiday season!

Merry Christmas!

For family home evening tonight we each painted a pumpkin.  Jeremy painted an evil pumpkin, I painted a witch and Savannah kept changing what hers was. I think the last thing she said was a pretty girl.  We had a fun time trying to be artist while painting our pumpkins.  We love Halloween time.  It is the perfect time of year, the leaves changing, the weather cooling off, lots of treats, and the start of the best holidays.

I love to see the Temple...

We came down this weekend to Saint George for our nephew's wedding. Every time we would drive somewhere and she would see the Temple she would say I want to go to the Temple. So after the wedding we drove over to the Temple and let Savannah walk around the Temple. She loved it! She sat on the stairs of the Saint George Temple singing, "I love to see the Temple". It was so sweet I will always remember it. She was pretty upset that she couldn't go inside. She said she wanted to go see Jesus. It was such a fun time letting her climb up and down the stairs of the temple. She loves going to the temple and hopefully one day she will be able to go inside. Love you Savannah.

What do birds eat?

Well according to Savannah, they eat fruit snacks and rocks. We hiked up to White Rock amphitheater where Jeremy proposed to me seven years ago. On the way up the trail there was a bird squawking and circling in the sky. Jeremy asked Savannah what do birds eat? And that was her answer, fruit snacks and rocks. She loved playing in all the sand and rocks. She told us that the mountain was a baby mountain.

Tomorrow Disneyland?

Last night while trying to go to sleep. Savannah tells me, "Maybe tomorrow we will go to Disneyland, okay mommy". It has been two months since we went to Disneyland and she talks about it every day. She is always saying "Maybe tomorrow we will go to Disneyland" and she says it the same way every time. But something about last night as she was laying in her bed it was the saddest thing because I knew we would not be going to Disneyland tomorrow. She had the best time at Disneyland and I know it will be a couple of years before we make it back. It just breaks my heart when my little girls dreams don't come true!

My little fairy

Savannah has been playing in her tutu and fairy wings today and dancing around the house. A few minutes ago I noticed it was extremely to quiet for Savannah to be around. I went into the loft and found her cuddled up on a couch pillow asleep. She feel asleep while watching the Doodlebops. She is my little fairy and I love her so so much!

First Time Riding a Horse

On Friday I took Savannah to ride horses. It was her first time and so I was not sure if she would like it or be totally scared. She looked at the horse and started giggling and talking to the horse. She was so cute and so brave. She had a blast. She even got to walk with the horse and help put the horses away. When we left she told me "I will come back another time and ride the horse". She is my little rock! I love her so much she is so brave and always comforts me when I need comforting. If I am not feeling good she always tells me it's okay Mommy and gives me kisses. I was scared to be on the horse but I will definitely do it again for Savannah.
